Summary of Position
The Associate Campus Director of Sending is in charge of administering the sending efforts of the campus. The Campus Pastor is tasked with casting a vision for sending in cooperation with the sending team. The Associate Campus Director of Sending's job is to execute the strategy that has been put in place and ensure the campus is following best practices and sending EPODs.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Heart and passion for missions, mercy, and justice
  • Administrative gifting with strong organizational skills, detail-oriented
  • Discretion in handling personal and confidential information
  • Ability to catalyze by forming relationships inside the campus and out in the community
  • A member of The Summit Church or willing and able to become a member

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate member participation in local outreach
    • Identify a need in the community you feel called to as a campus through discussion with your staff, elders, and the help of the Local Outreach Team.
      • Plan Serve Saturday each month as a way to reach the community.
      • Use this opportunity to disciple our people and model for them living out the gospel.
    • Know and serve the people at your campus who are engaged in serving the community.
    • Know how to care for and support those in need or crisis in your campus/community
  • Facilitate member participation in international missions
    • Coordinate with Sending to schedule 2-3 trips (minimum) per year
    • Ensure teams are following guidelines on scheduling, deadlines, policies, and training.
    • Cooperate with the sending team to develop and shepherd interest in long-term missions
    • Work with the sending team to identify and assess long-term missionary candidates
    • Help the campus know and care for the missionaries sent out from your campus
  • Increase campus awareness and education of Sending
    • Help worship leader and CP utilize monthly Sending moments
    • Resource CP with updates as he leads campus team, elders, and congregation
    • Promote sending during campus staff meetings

Churchwide Events
The hours for this position are expected to be 20 hours per week. As one church that meets in many locations, there are several times throughout the year that Summit holds church-wide events in an effort to do whatever it takes to reach all people. All staff members are expected to serve at these church-wide events regardless of the positions they hold.
Such events include, but are not limited to: Easter services, church-wide prayer meetings, Good Friday service, and Christmas services. Serving expectations will be communicated in advance of each event
