POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, adventure seeking individual to join the Hazelett Process Engineering team. Our preferred candidate will possess a sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and a desire to learn and improve Hazelett technology. Our team members utilize their knowledge, experience, and technical understanding of our equipment to drive process development, optimize machine performance, lead field service activities, and cultivate companywide understanding of our technology. This opportunity offers the ability to travel worldwide and interface with customers, all levels of management, and professional societies. It will require regular travel both domestically and internationally, often with short notice.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Provide technical customer support in person and remotely
  • Drive process and operational improvements and development
  • Support sales & marketing efforts for both new and existing customers
  • Coordinate and execute commissioning, upgrade installations, and regular machine maintenance
  • Maintain Hazelett process know-how by generating manuals, technical papers, and training programs
  • Aid our mechanical and electrical assembly departments as required
  • Provide internal guidance for repairs and non-conforming parts
  • Generate basic engineering drawings and bills of material
  • Maintain customer bill of material integrity
Requirements:

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering or a related field
  • Prior experience with twin-belt or continuous casting processes is a plus.
  • Ability and desire to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • An understanding of electrical components and systems, PLC programming, HMI/visual interface systems
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Avante

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Duties will be carried out at customer and supplier sites, in an office environment, and manufacturing production floor as required, which might include occasional exposure to fumes, noise, and gases from equipment or machinery. They must be able to work in these environments for extended periods of time and be able to do light lifting. The employee must utilize personal safety equipment when working in any production environment. Extensive travel to attend meetings and visit customers is required.

The base pay range for this full-time position is $62,000 - $83,000. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
