MAJOR FUNCTION:
A Material Handler ensures that all production lines have the necessary material to successfully run production during the designated shift. He/she also facilitates material movement, material staging, and basic inventory management throughout the facility while maintaining 5S practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Complete all required audits that apply to the position.
2. Ensure that the forklift, in use, is safe for use.
3. Stock all production lines with necessary boxes/pallets and totes.
4 Ensure the timely delivery of all raw materials to the production lines.
5. Ensure all production lines have the processing aids needed for production.
6. Stage material throughout the facility.
7. Ensure physical inventory locations match Plex locations.
8. Cycle Inventory.
9. Maintains appropriate documentation, physically and electronically.
10. Follows Creative Foam / Dayton Molded Urethanes policies and procedures.
11. Works with support staff (engineering, maintenance, supervision, tooling, quality) to resolve issues.
12. Alerts appropriate personnel of deviations/deficiencies in their work areas in a timely manner.
13. Alerts appropriate personnel of equipment issues in a timely manner.
14. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
15. Maintains a clean work area and assists in maintaining a clean facility whenever possible.
16. Follows Creative Foam/Dayton Molded Urethanes policies and procedures.
17. Promotes the organization's safety efforts and maintains a safe working environment.
18. Positively reinforces production goals, standards, and work ethic in their area as well as the entire facility.
19. Maintains 5S systems throughout the facility.
20. Performs other tasks as required.
Hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
6:00 am - 6:30 pm
