Job description

Vestmark's Outsourced Services (VOS) team is looking for an Operations Analyst to support our Outsourced Service Clients in Wakefield, MA. As an Analyst you will be responsible for supporting various managed account business operations services, across multiple clients, including but not limited to Reconciliations, Account Administration, Corporate Actions and Security Master, and Performance oversight and reporting. This hands-on role requires daily hands-on processing and client contact and ensuring coordination with internal operations and technology teams to support and service VOS clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the team's processes, sponsor relationships, workflows, and systems that support managed account clients.
  • Support the processing and documentation of new account openings, account maintenance requests, terminations, funding activities, and ensure proper indexing and archiving of all required documents.
  • Perform comprehensive account-level reconciliations, including cash balances, positions, transactions, and tax lots, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and resolve reconciliation breaks quickly and accurately to ensure accounts are ready for trading each day.
  • Maintain an understanding of various security types, pricing methodologies, and security-type mappings, and apply this knowledge to daily operational processes.
  • Participate in special projects, including platform enhancements, workflow redesign, new product implementations, and operational improvements.
  • Support new client onboarding by ensuring accurate setup, data integrity, and seamless integration into operational processes.
  • Assist with system testing and validation of new functionality related to regular platform upgrades or new workflow tools.
  • Collaborate with team members and sponsor partners to resolve exceptions across all functions, ensuring a high level of service and operational accuracy.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 2-4 years of experience in managed accounts, investment operations, or a similar financial services role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues, sponsors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment when resolving issues.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial operations, including trade processing, reconciliation, account maintenance, and data integrity.
  • Familiarity with Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), including workflows, account structures, and operational requirements.
  • Advanced desktop skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, functions; VBA a plus).
  • Experience with the Vestmark platform is preferred but not required.
