Job description

Overview

The Bingo Attendant performs a variety of assigned job duties in the Bingo Room while providing outstanding guest service to include; Bingo Caller, Paymaster, POS Cashier, Floor Sales Clerk, Pull Tab Clerk and Bingo Inventory Control Clerk.

Responsibilities

Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines. Interacts with guests in a positive and friendly manner by assisting guests with game rules, promotions, and all other aspects of Bingo.

A. Bingo Caller The Bingo Caller is similar to a master of ceremonies and is a position that requires both a clear and articulate announcing voice and a personality that will command the interest and attention of audience of players and potential players. The Bingo Caller makes general announcements, reads the house rules before the start of every session, gives information concerning games to be played, special games, game schedules and starting times, prizes, featured prizes and bonus jackpots or any other matters of interest to bingo players or potential players, including upcoming and future events. Conducts bingo games by calling and displaying each number, acknowledging when a bingo is called, verifying bingo wins, closing each game according to established procedures and announcing the winning prize amount. Controls the pace of the game by monitoring and determining guest ability to stay with the game, adjusting game pace accordingly. Stay alert and attentive to all guests in the bingo hall throughout a bingo session Hold guests attention through a bingo session while fulfilling regulations of the game. Promotes guest relations and retention by treating guests in a friendly and courteous manner, reading announcements, and promptly notifying bingo supervisor of any guest complaints. Keeps bingo equipment operational by cleaning bingo hoppers, fixing flash boards and replacing burnt out light bulbs on flashboards and bingo tables. Maintains bingo games efficiency by keeping adequate levels of supplies and updated department forms and documents. Ensures that all equipment is in good working condition and all progressive jackpots are correct before sessions start.

B. Pay Master Receives bank from the vault and verifies and pays out the cash for the winning bingo games, pull tabs, event tickets and jackpots. Processes tax forms when needed.

C. POS Cashier Assigned to a POS (Point of Sale) station selling bingo cards, bingo game packages, early bird packs, warm up packs, late bird packs and all electronic bingo devices offered during a particular session. Ensures that all paperwork and monies are balanced and accounted for before completing shift. Maintains accurate records of all cash payouts and paper sales. Must keep current with all bingo rules, program changes, and be knowledgeable to answer questions concerning games to be played, special games, game schedules, starting times, prize payouts, progressive prizes and bonus jackpots. Transition to assist Floor Sales Clerk following completion of Bingo sales.

D. Floor Sales Clerk Circulates the Bingo floor to sell game day early bird packs, extra packs, paper specials and late birds. Works with the caller in locating, identifying and verifying if a bingo win or multiple wins occurred. Completes all prize payouts in an accurate and timely manner. Assist customers in explaining the various bingo games, rules of play and payouts and in obtaining any other information or services they may need.

E. Pull Tab Clerk Circulate the Bingo floor to sell pull tabs and event tickets to bingo players. Verify winning pull tabs or event tickets and redeem or cash (others shall be cashed in at the paymaster window).

F. Bingo Inventory Control Clerk Receives shipments of bingo supplies, verifies product and serial numbers against the shipping invoice or bill of lading. Work with the Epic Bingo Accounting System and keep a running stock of inventory and supplies to prevent shortages, keeps supplies in a neat and orderly and controlled fashion to avoid waste and prevent errors. Verifies floor and tab sellers/clerks inventory count, issues floor sales, issues additional inventory to floor/tab clerks when needed, keeps accurate records of issued out and returned back inventory, and balances inventory to match floor sales makes a closing count and report.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum High School level education and previous experience in a guest service, gaming or cash handling position would be preferred.

Pay range: $16.90 - $20.80 per hour

*Shift Differential:ย Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.

This is not a smoke free workplace.ย  Although we employ state-of-the-art air filtration systems, cigarette smoke is in the work environment.
