A dynamic and busy medical practice is seeking a full-time Bi-lingual Patient Care Coordinator who is bright, motivated, energetic, talented and organized. The PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR is the primary point of contact and communication for all patients. The COORDINATOR will initiate contact with the patient, present the services, coordinate and schedule treatment, track and follow up case progress, provide case updates, arrange necessary accommodations and nurture the patient relationship by following up with the patient. The PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR must be a strong communicator with a passion for providing excellent customer service. The main goal is to provide the BEST patient experience possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Initiate contact with patients in a professional and engaging manner
  • Introduce patient to the office and services
  • Efficiently provide and communicate information about recommended treatments
  • Discuss authorization process, timeline and accommodation options with patients
  • Nurture patient relationship by contacting them to provide updates and address all concerns
  • Work as a team player through a collaborative team approach to ensure the best customer service and patient experience possible
  • Actively follow up on case progress with other departments to ensure case processing timeliness
  • Schedule appointments
  • Verifies patient demographics and updates insurance & patient information
  • Look up case status, documents, information and document all updates in an all Electronic Medical Records system

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be Bi-lingual - Spanish & English
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Some college required
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Ability to positively and proactively handle patient concerns
  • Ability prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and tracking multiple cases
  • Ability to learn new procedures and process quickly
  • High level of accountability and initiative
  • Friendly, Outgoing, motivated and energetic personality is a must!
  • Excellent phone communication skills and etiquette
  • Highly effective interpersonal and verbal skills required
  • Dedicated to providing excellent service to all patients
  • Team player attitude and the ability to work in a collaborative approach
