Description:

Van Der Hout LLP is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our expanding employment and family-based immigration practice. This full-time, in-office position offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys in preparing non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, and other immigration-related filings.


The successful candidate must be able to work with moderate supervision and guidance in reviewing case documents and preparing employment-based immigration petitions/applications for filing with various government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in immigration law, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and excellent communication skills. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, including but not limited to: H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, O-1, and I-140.
  • Manage status of cases filed applications and petitions.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case processing issues.
  • Run reports to monitor deadlines.
  • Monitor and update status of cases using case management and client database systems.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of paralegal experience in business immigration, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with case management software and other reporting tools and technologies used to manage data.
