Your job duties include preparing legal paperwork, providing administrative support during trials and litigation, contacting clients, and other support duties as required by the legal team. A career as a case assistant does not require you to have a college degree, though many employers prefer candidates have some prior legal training or experience. To excel as a case assistant, you should have superb communications skills, familiarity with legal language, and a familiarity with legal proceedings.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a case assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Case Assistant, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a background in administrative support, often with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with case management software, document management systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are typically required. Excellent communication, discretion, and the ability to multitask efficiently help you stand out in this role.
