Summary
The Carpenter Helper assists with constructing, erecting, stripping, and/or repairing structures of steel, wood or plywood using carpenter's hand and power tools conforming in construction documents. Will be exposed to all of the following duties but may specialist in one or more areas.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Carpenter Helper will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.
  • Helps Install Footing Forms
  • Helps Build and Install Structural Deck Forms
  • Helps Set Slab-on-Grade Forms
  • Helps Prep and Set Tilt-up/Precast Forms
  • Ensures a Safe Work Environment
  • Participates in Training/Certifications

Requirements
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Must know how to cut and measure wood
  • Must have experience assisting carpenters
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Prefer to have OSHA 10 certification, if not we will train
