Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join a busy construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial construction projects, including framing, finish carpentry, remodeling, repairs, and general construction support. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of construction methods, can read blueprints, and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a safe job site.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using wood, metal, and other building materials.
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other building components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project plans to determine project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications using hand and power tools.
  • Install doors, windows, hardware, siding, drywall, trim, and other finish materials as required.
  • Repair or replace damaged structures, fixtures, and building components.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety regulations.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
  • Assist with general construction tasks as needed.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of carpentry or construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to pass background screening and/or drug testing if required.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods.

Work Environment

This position works on active construction sites and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and construction equipment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
