Job description

Black Bear Talent is seeking a Temporary Carpenter or Construction Helper to support renovation and construction activities through September. This position is ideal for someone with previous carpentry or construction experience who is comfortable performing physical labor and assisting skilled tradespeople on an active job site.

Responsibilities
  • Assist carpenters and construction crews with renovation and construction activities
  • Perform general labor tasks, including moving and organizing materials
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
  • Assist with job site cleanup and maintaining an organized work area
  • Provide support with basic carpentry-related tasks as directed
  • Follow instructions from site supervisors, and project leads
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Perform other physical duties and general labor tasks as assigned
  • Work 8 to 10 hour shifts with overtime and weekends as required
Requirements
  • Previous construction or carpentry experience required
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, lifting, bending, reaching, and moving materials
  • Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials and equipment
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
  • Willingness and availability to work overtime and weekends as required
