Position Overview

As a Housekeeping/Public Area Attendant, you are a key member of the Cabot Citrus Farms team and will be instrumental in building on Cabotโ€™s legacy of world-leading golf destinations. You will be tasked with cleaning and perfecting the overall look and feel of the property, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout. Your knowledge of high-end resort cleanliness and housekeeping โ€“ combined with your attentiveness, efficiency, and commitment โ€“ will ensure that Cabot Citrus Farms remains a safe, clean, presentable, and enjoyable workplace and travel destination for our team members, partners, and guests. You will maintain a daily presence on-site and build strong relationships with team members, community stakeholders, guests, and prospective real estate buyers. You embody Cabotโ€™s values and positively represent the Cabot brand, helping to set team expectations for the resortโ€™s high standard and acting as an ambassador and role model of exceptional service.โ€ฏ

Key Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Housekeeping department and public area minimum standards.โ€ฏโ€ฏ
  • Cleans and inspects guestrooms and/or public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, lobbies, halls, etc. Complete the monthly quotas set of twice-yearly guestroom deep cleans and quarterly guestroom inspections. Evaluate the condition of furniture, fixtures, dรฉcor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects.โ€ฏ
  • Performs cleaning duties as assigned.โ€ฏ
  • Participates in regular training of all housekeepers and public area attendants.โ€ฏ
  • Conducts daily audits of accommodations and public areas to ensure standards are maintained.โ€ฏ
  • Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.โ€ฏ
  • Models Cabotโ€™s culture and exemplify our shared values on a day-to-day basis.โ€ฏ
  • Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments, particularly the Front Desk.โ€ฏ
  • Completes deep cleaning and cycle projects relating to guest accommodations.โ€ฏ
  • Contribute to pre-opening responsibilities, including other duties as assigned.โ€ฏ
  • Must be available to work a varied scheduleโ€ฏas needed based on occupancy levels and department demands, including AM shifts, PM shifts, and weekends.โ€ฏโ€ฏ
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of housekeeping experience; preferably at a high-end resort.โ€ฏโ€ฏโ€ฏ
  • High school or equivalent education required โ€“ University degree or College diploma in Hospitality Management, an asset.โ€ฏ
  • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.โ€ฏ
  • Must be self-directed, and motivated, and demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.โ€ฏ
  • Excellent ability to communicate, concisely, and openly in all interactions (verbal and written).โ€ฏ
  • Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations and utilizing appropriate resources.โ€ฏ
  • Demonstrated ability to work with maximum accuracy, efficiency, and a high degree of attention to detail.โ€ฏ
  • Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous always.โ€ฏ
  • Florida Driverโ€™s License or ability to obtain one.โ€ฏ
  • Work flexible hours โ€“ weekends, evenings, and overtime as required.โ€ฏ
  • Excels in a team environment.โ€ฏ

Working Conditions

  • Working in an outdoor environment (i.e.: sun, wind, rain)โ€ฏ
  • Ascending and descending stairs and ramps.โ€ฏ
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for long periods- up to 5 hours at a time.โ€ฏ
  • Required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch, as well as stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.โ€ฏ
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, repetitive motions.โ€ฏ
