Responsibilities

This role reports to the Director of Claims and handles commercial auto liability and physical damage claims involving trucking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve commercial auto liability and physical damage claims related to trucking
  • Review policy language to determine coverage and consult with coverage counsel as needed
  • Manage a caseload of moderate to high complexity claims, including higher exposure files
  • Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, repair facilities, and law enforcement to gather information
  • Work with defense counsel and vendors on litigated claims and recovery efforts
  • Handle claims in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in file reviews, team meetings, and training
Qualifications
  • JD required
  • 3+ years of experience handling trucking claims
  • Experience with bodily injury and/or cargo claims
  • Knowledge of trucking operations, FMCSA/DOT regulations, and multi-state claims handling
  • Ability to evaluate claims, negotiate settlements, and manage multiple open files
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using claims systems and standard business tools
  • Licensing Requirement: Candidates must hold an active adjuster license or be willing and able to obtain and maintain all required state licenses. The company will support the licensing process, including training and compliance with ongoing continuing education requirements.

Salary $130,000 - $170,000 + bonus

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a goodfaith estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, credentials, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.

This role may be based out of any of our office locations, including:

New York, NY; Parsippany, NJ; Conshohocken, PA; WilkesBarre, PA; Alpharetta, GA; Rosemont, IL; Plano, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; and Rancho Cordova, CA.
