GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION:
Performs semi-skilled work in the daily and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment; performs plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, masonry, painting, mechanical, and carpentry work. Direct employees regularly as primary duty to ensure the team provides outstanding environmental services to the community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Manage environmental services program for the community.
  • Directly manage environmental services employees: Hire, coach employees, assign work, lead training for employees, when necessary terminate employment in accordance with HR process and policies.
  • Performs electrical work such as repairing and replacing switches, receptacles, lights, and motors;
  • Performs plumbing installations and/or repairs such as repairing leaks, running new lines and plumbing fixtures, installing water heaters and commodes, repairing pipes, replacing valves, unclogging drains, and installing filters;
  • Monitors and repairs flooring and roof as well as ensures that roof is free of debris and excess materials;
  • Performs minor carpentry work;
  • Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner to promote effective and safe operations;
  • Utilizes a wide array of tools such as carpentry tools, electrical tools, mechanical tools, masonry tools, and plumbing tools;
  • May perform painting tasks, as assigned;
  • Attends in-service training workshops and meetings as required;
  • Conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with the community's safety program;
  • Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, guests and coworkers;
  • Promotes and protects the rights of all residents;
  • Know and understand the vision, purpose, values and goals of North Ridge Memory Care.
  • Performs other related essential duties as required.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school and one to two years of experience in a related field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
CERTIFICATION AND CLEARANCE:
  • Possess or able to possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record, and free of restrictions or limitations
  • Criminal record clearance or criminal record exemption, as required by law
