JOB SUMMARY

  • GMRE is seeking a Full-Time Work Card Planner to be responsible for drafting, incorporating, editing, reviewing, and publishing approved Work Cards in support of approved GMRE operations. The successful candidate will be required to author Work Cards for support equipment by maintaining contractual documentation to meet contractual GMRE deliverables.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts research, interpret engineering data/drawings, and evaluate field/depot inputs to create approved GMRE Work Cards by planning, coordinating, and conducting validation and verification activities relative to operation, maintenance, and testing. 
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and details. 
  • Reviews instructions, regulations and guidelines, and similar material to become familiar with product and process terminology. 
  • Selects photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams or charts to illustrate Work Card materials and/or sequences. 
  • Organizes material and performs writing assignments according to specifications regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. 
  • Edits material for spelling, grammar, syntax, capitalization, consistency, format and conformance to specification. 
  • Contributes to process improvement and quality assurance initiatives within GMRE approved processes. 
  • Required to communicate and collaborate with GMRE personnel and if needed, external customer personnel. 
  • Responsible for adjusting or recommend enhancements in systems and processes to improve effectiveness of GMRE Work Cards. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related Technician Field
  • Previous experience writing Work Cards. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • This position will perform all work duties at the GMRE Headquarters office in Ogden, UT.
