Job description

Title: Customer Service Representative

Location: St. Louis, MO

Summary:
Carboline is looking for a Customer Service Representative to be the driving force behind a seamless customer experience! In this role, you'll take ownership of the full order lifecycle-from order entry through production coordination, shipment, and billing-ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service every step of the way.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience

Physical Requirements:

  • This role is primarily desk-based and involves extended computer use (up to 8 hours per day). 

  • No significant physical exertion, lifting, or unusual environmental conditions are required.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately enter and manage customer orders from multiple channels, ensuring correct pricing, product details, and shipping terms.
  • Coordinate production, scheduling, and shipments; partner with expediting teams to prioritize and meet delivery timelines.
  • Monitor order progress and proactively communicate updates or changes to customers and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with production and internal teams to resolve issues and meet customer expectations.
  • Support inventory planning by recommending stock adjustments based on sales direction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to pricing, credits, freight, commissions, and quality standards.
  • Process returns (RGAs) and credit memos efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain strong product and systems knowledge.
  • Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
