Job description

  • Manage clients’ portfolios and go-to-market strategy in a defined marketing area
  • Deliver client volume, share, and sales fundamentals across merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving
  • Maximize profitability, trade management, and ROI
  • Understand client priorities and budgets and communicate with cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Use strategic planning to maintain client business and volume objectives
  • Develop new and increased business through pioneering activities
  • Serve as primary point of contact for principal/customer-specific issues
  • Deliver corporate revenue goals within agreed timing and budget
  • Create client-specific selling stories, programs, and initiatives using customer, market, and client knowledge
  • Provide formal business reviews with stakeholders throughout the fiscal year
  • Maintain client/customer information including costing, distribution, and KPIs
  • Review market information, trends, and competitive activity
  • Coordinate client/customer market visits and key account calls
  • Share best practices and customer/manufacturer information with team members
  • Manage personal skill and career development plan
  • Develop expertise in client proprietary systems for promotional plans and fund balances when required

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Five years+ experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) related sales or analytical roles
  • Ability to analyze complex data and create solutions for differing customer and client goals
  • Negotiation strategy development and tactical technique
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Valid driver's license and access to a car
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, typically 6+ hours per day
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift and carry light items, typically 20+ pounds
  • Ability to reach, bend, or stoop occasionally
  • Ability to maintain focus during desk-based work
  • Ability to follow clear directions and perform repetitive motions
