Job description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Specialist to join our team at our corporate office in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will have a background in Finance, Accounting or Economics.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage assigned accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding customer invoices
  • Contact customers to follow up on overdue balances
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues
  • Update account stats records and collection efforts in internal systems
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred
  • Recent graduate, customer service, retail or up to 1 year of relevant experience considered
  • Experience with filing notices and liens on past due projects preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS office products, Microsoft D365 a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with high volume workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
