Job description

Are you a driven Account Manager / CSR who wants to:


  • Help business owners protect their employees and operations

  • Create win-win relationships with underwriters

  • Use your customer service and sales ability to grow a local agency

In this role you will serve an existing book of middle market clients in a variety of industries, ranging from construction to manufacturing to retail.

To be successful in this position, you’ll need to be:


  • Licensed as a Property and Casualty insurance agent

  • Experienced in Commercial insurance (minimum of 2 years required)

  • Motivated by getting things done and checking off your To-Do list

  • Great at helping clients over the phone, in emails, or in person in a timely manner

  • Comfortable with computers and software - knowing Applied Epic is a BIG plus, but not required

 As a Client Manager at Highstreet/Ottawa Kent, you’ll be expected to:


  • Retain current clients

  • Share technical expertise about insurance - products, coverages, client needs, forms, and proposals. You’ll be involved in both New and Renewal marketing.

  • Complete day-to-day Commercial Lines Workflows - confirmation of binding policies, certificates of insurance, endorsements and audits.

  • Grow accounts by seeing cross-selling opportunities (Business, Personal, Life, Benefits)

  • Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance in both our agency management system and insurance carrier rating systems.
