Position Overview
The Systems Analyst is responsible for working within the payroll system to identify, configure, and test complex provisions of collective bargaining agreements, as well as federal and local labor statutes. This role supports payroll operations and is highly focused on delivering operational excellence, ensuring accurate payroll results, and contributing to functional testing and design. Additionally, this position will manage the contract tables for the company and handle system support requests. A high degree of expertise in entertainment industry payroll and systems analysis is required to ensure accurate and timely payroll results.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and process system support requests by analyzing and resolving issues from Operations, Accounting, Sales, IT, and other departments, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the company's proprietary payroll system, analyzing, maintaining, and configuring system rules and setup to ensure optimal performance and compliance with internal standards, contract changes, and legal requirements
  • Review and analyze Collective Bargaining Agreements to ensure proper payroll system programming and make necessary updates to rule configurations, benefit fringes, and scale rates; collaborate with Product and Development teams if enhancements are needed
  • Examine and interpret timecard calculations for both union and non-union payrolls to ensure accurate processing and compliance with contractual agreements and labor laws
  • Act as a liaison between Operations, Adjustments and Pension departments, analyzing and facilitating new setups and changes
  • Ensure that any corrections to invoicing are accurate, including user and system errors
  • Provide support for day-to-day payroll processing issues, assisting users in resolving complex payroll challenges
  • Work with IT to resolve W2 discrepancies at year-end, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with tax regulations
  • Train team members and contribute to user training and documenting processes
  • Participate in functional testing
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll accounting preferably in the Entertainment Production industry

Special Work Conditions

  • Sedentary - Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year.
