Job description

SUMMARY: The Project Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. This role works closely with project managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to track progress, manage resources, and identify potential risks or issues. The Project Management Specialist prepares project documentation, monitors performance metrics, and ensures adherence to company policies, standards, and best practices.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist project managers in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track project progress and performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and status updates.
  • Identify potential project risks or issues and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Support change management processes, ensuring all scope or schedule changes are documented and approved.
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, milestones, and project deliverables.
  • Analyze project data and provide insights to improve efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and promote project management best practices.
  • Support procurement, scheduling, and resource planning activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associate’s degree in relevant field.
    • OR an additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3 years of project management experience either at a lead or support level.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of project management experience either at a lead or support level.
  • A solid understanding of IT systems, networking, and computer software
  • Enterprise planning package (ERP) integration experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate IT staff
  • Logical problem solver who can operate under constraints

OTHER: 

  • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
  • Some travel may be required dependent on project assignments.
