Project Superintendent
Spartan Contracting Corporation is seeking a Traveling Project Superintendent with extensive experience in group-up commercial builds to join our team. Experience in banks and convenience stores or other complex designs is desired. The Project Superintendent will coordinate and manage assigned job site activities for projects in the Greater Tampa Bay and Central Florida regions. Additionally, the Project Superintendent collaborates with project managers, other superintendents, engineers, architects, owner/vendor suppliers and other field personnel to deliver a successful project on time and on budget with the desired level of quality.

Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite/Regional) Candidates must be based in the Greater Gulf Bay or Western Florida area or be willing to relocate within 120 days of employment.
Travel Required: Frequent Travel Required; Travel to other regions may be required to support other team members and meet project priorities.
Salary Range: $60,000-$110,000.00 per year (based on experience

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Valid Drivers License and Passing MVR, Drug Screen and Background Check
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years experience as a project superintendent in the commercial construction industry, preferably Bank / 7-11 experience; 5 to 7 years experience of combined education and work experience is highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • 5 years experience reading blue prints and plans
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors, equipment amp; materials suppliers
  • Experience creating and generating RFIs, reviewing and understanding submittals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred
