Position Overview

Under the general direction of the appropriate department leadership, the Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing purchasing and materials processes to ensure goods and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company policies and regulations. The Procurement Analyst supports operational goals through data analysis, supplier management, inventory control, and process improvement initiatives.


What You'll Do

  • Analyze procurement data to evaluate cost, quality, and delivery performance of products and services while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain inventory data accuracy and reliability through routine audits and cycle counts.
  • Review procurement requests from various departments, assess operational needs, and recommend sourcing strategies. Create purchase orders as required.
  • Review pricing catalogs and process invoices to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate offerings, and compare pricing and quality standards.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to secure competitive pricing, favorable delivery schedules, and acceptable contract terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements and resolve delivery, quality, or compliance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and delivery records.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management, including spend analysis, supplier performance metrics, and cost trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with operational and business objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline procurement workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable government regulations.
  • Contribute to a positive, organized, and efficient work environment.

What You'll Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or extensive experience in a cement manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools required.
  • Familiarity with cement plant purchasing and materials management processes preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a procurement or materials management environment required.

  • Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
