Who We're Looking For

This program is designed for two groups of people:

  • Skilled tradespeople seeking a career change — with hands-on experience in construction, automotive, handyman, manufacturing, or a similar field
  • Veterans transitioning to civilian employment — of any branch, with technical, mechanical, electrical, construction, or maintenance experience

No property management experience required. If you're reliable, motivated, and ready to learn, you're who we're looking for.

The Program

  • Free, fully virtual training — no cost to you
  • 6-week curriculum — complete on your own schedule while still working your current job
  • Guaranteed placement with a professional property management company in the Atlanta metro area upon successful program completion
  • Dedicated guidance — Oakmont walks with you every step of the way, from enrollment through your first day on the job and beyond

Compensation & Benefits

  • During placement period (up to 12 weeks): $22/hour as an Oakmont employee in a temp-to-hire arrangement
  • Upon direct hire by the property management company: $22–$25/hour plus full benefits package
  • A clear advancement path — Maintenance Technician, Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor — rewards those who show up and grow
