Position Overview
Promotes and sells materials to current and prospective customers while representing Capitol Aggregates as a key contributor to the industry. This role requires a strategic approach to sales, leveraging industry knowledge and established relationships to drive revenue growth.
Principal Duties and Accountabilities (Essential Functions)
  • Actively calls on prospective buyers of aggregates and cement to solicit and secure orders, focusing on building long-term relationships and understanding customer needs.
  • Proficiently promotes products to end users, emphasizing Capitol Aggregates' commitment to quality and service within the construction industry.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of customers and their operations to identify opportunities for increased sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Executes calls according to strategic marketing and sales plans designed to increase market penetration and establish Capitol Aggregates as a leading supplier of aggregates and cement.
  • Submits detailed reports on sales activities, market opportunities, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provides customers with detailed information regarding pricing, credit terms, and product offerings, ensuring informed purchasing decisions.
  • Monitors market conditions and competitors to maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing strategy, adapting to changes in supply and demand.
  • Continues to enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, industry publications, and participation in relevant professional associations.
  • Possesses an advanced understanding of TxDOT bidding procedures and actively participates in the bidding process as required.
  • Maintains familiarity with TxDOT specifications and material requirements to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

  • Strong understanding of freight and rail.
