Big SNOW- GroomerLocation: East Rutherford, NJ

About Big SNOW:

Big SNOW is the North America’s first and only real snow, indoor, year-round ski and snowboard resort.   We share our passion of sliding on snow with our guests.  

How the Groomer works with the Team:

 Daily grooming of slope, learning area, and terrain features on hill. Operate and assist in light maintenance of all department vehicles and equipment. Learn the theory and practice of trail grooming on ski trails and terrain parks.

Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Acquire the necessary skills to proficiently operate  a snow cat/groomer to maintain the slope, learning area, tubing area, and the base area.
  • Assist with in field troubleshooting, light repair and general maintenance of the machine, implements and tools using vehicle write ups and operator log sheets.
  • Assist with snowmaking.
  • Perform assigned duties as required to support other trails.
  • Able to work rotating shifts at night in below freezing temperatures.
  • Maintain a good attitude and good attendance during scheduled work time.
  • Learn company and industry grooming practices for slope and terrain parks as directed: grooming theory and techniques, changing snow, operating techniques and working around building features, lifts and snowmaking equipment.
  • Acquire knowledge of Big SNOW operations.
  • Accountable for safety and good housekeeping in work areas and machine.
  • Assist with operating and troublemaking snow making 
  • Contribute to Team effort by performing other tasks assigned
  • Heavy equipment experience preferred
  • Previous grooming experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years older
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and Holidays
