The Capacity Planning, Staff Analyst, will be responsible for modeling, analyzing, and optimizing capacity risk across our global portfolio of manufacturing processes and production lines. In addition, the role will translate demand into capacity needs across Beckman Coulter's extended value streams with critical suppliers and OEMs. This role partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Product Management and Commercial Teams to ensure feasible, data driven capacity plans that balance demand growth, throughput, labor, equipment, and material constraints opportunities.
This position reports directly the Senior Director of PSI and is part of the Global Supply Chain Organization located in Chaska, Minnesota and will be an on-site role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop and maintain long range end-to-end capacity models for complex manufacturing lines (multi-step, variable cycle times, shared resources). Deploy standard repeatable process across our product lines globally
  • Support global portfolio growth by leading standard processes of assessing global capacity needs and proactively identifying areas of risks; strong leadership and impactful communication across cross-functional teams to drive proactive risk mitigation projects
  • Perform what-if scenario analysis to evaluate demand changes, mix shifts, new product introductions, and process improvements.

The essential requirements of the job include
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management or related field with 9+ years of experience or Master's degree with 7+ years of experience or Doctorial degree with 4+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience modeling capacity for complex manufacturing processes (not just simple rate-based planning).
  • Experience supporting S&OP / IBP or long-range capacity planning.
  • ERP planning system experience (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Kinaxis, OMP); depth of experience with modeling tools and advanced analytics

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is between 120,000- 150,000 This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
