Business Development Manager โ€“ Secure Network Solutions

Location:

Melbourne, Florida or Arlington, Virginia

Overview

We are seeking a driven, mid-level Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in our defense networking portfolio, with a focus on rugged Ethernet switch solutions and products. This individual will play a key role in identifying, shaping, and capturing opportunities across U.S. Department of War (DoW) programs and defense prime contractors. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and brings a blend of technical familiarity with networking hardware and software and a strong understanding of business development principles and defense program and product acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities related to rugged Ethernet switch and advanced network products within the defense sector
  • Develop and execute account strategies across key customers, including US Department of War customers and defense prime contractors
  • Shape early-stage opportunities by aligning customer needs with Aeronix capabilities in a dynamic environment
  • Support capture efforts, including win strategies, teaming, and proposal inputs
  • Track and analyze defense budgets, procurement trends, competitive trends, and technology developments to develop proactive growth strategies and sales plans
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to develop and deliver marketable rugged Ethernet products and solutions
  • Drive rugged Ethernet switch marketing campaigns and represent the company at industry events and trade shows

Qualifications

  • 7โ€“10 years of experience in business development, sales, or capture within the defense industry
  • Demonstrated experience with Ethernet switches or related networking technologies
  • Strong understanding of DoW customers, acquisition processes, and budget cycles
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across government and industry
  • Experience working with or selling to prime contractors and/or government program offices
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into compelling, customer-relevant value propositions
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; technical or engineering background preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting defense networking, C5ISR, or platform integration programs
  • Existing relationships within key defense accounts (e.g., Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, or major primes)
  • Experience with ruggedized or embedded networking solutions
  • Active Secret security clearance (minimum)
