Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Global Product Manager within IVD who will own and develop SSI Diagnostica Group’s global Gastrointestinal Diagnostics portfolio. You will set the direction and deliver results in a strategically important area with end‑to‑end responsibility for the value chain from strategy, new product development (NPD) to commercial execution throughout the product lifecycle. The role is global and combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution in a small, agile organization.

About the Role

As Senior Global Product Manager, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for the Gastrointestinal Diagnostics portfolio. You will define the portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap, develop robust business cases, and drive selected new product initiatives in close collaboration with R&D, Medical/Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations. In parallel, you will lead lifecycle management of the existing portfolio, with a strong focus on securing sustainable growth, profitability, and competitiveness through clear positioning, pricing strategies, and portfolio optimization across regions.

A key immediate focus will be leading the rollout of an upcoming competitive new product together with the Commercial organization ensuring strong market readiness and a successful global launch.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Own the portfolio strategy, performance and roadmap and prioritize initiatives with the greatest business impact.
  • Gather and translate market and customer insights as well as competitive intelligence into clear decisions and priorities.
  • Lead product life cycle management from launch to phase‑out; ensure updates, optimizations through product care, and wins in the existing business.
  • Drive NPD with R&D: product requirements (intended use, claims, performance, evidence), scope, and go‑to‑market.
  • Develop business cases and pricing strategies across markets with a focus on profitability and competitive positioning.
  • Create clear value propositions, key messaging and product positioning for commercial use.
  • Develop and ensure high‑quality product documentation (manuals, IFUs, quick guides, troubleshooting) together with relevant functions and contribute hands‑on when needed.
  • Train Marketing and Sales globally to ensure teams are confident in product knowledge, applications and messaging.
  • Lead commercial readiness and rollout planning for a competitive new product introduction.
  • Collaborate with Product Planning and Commercial teams on forecasting and demand planning; support Operations to ensure product availability.
  • Work cross‑functionally to ensure alignment, strong launches and consistent global execution.
What You Bring
  • Advanced degree within Life Sciences (e.g., biology, microbiology, biotechnology, immunology, molecular biology or similar).
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience within the IVD industry, preferably with a focus on infectious diseases.
  • Proven track record with global portfolio and product strategy, LCM and NPD.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and sound decision‑making, you work data‑driven and business‑oriented.
  • Clear, effective communication and strong stakeholder management skills across functions and time zones.
  • You thrive in a broad role where you both set the direction and execute hands‑on.

You will take global responsibility for a strategically important portfolio in a smaller, international organization with approx. 600 employees, short decision lines and high scientific expertise. You will have real influence, the opportunity to shape a growing portfolio, and the chance to work closely with customers, markets and technology — including responsibility for a major upcoming product introduction.
