Job description

Clinical Nurse

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, quality healthcare to patients in various settings across the continuum of surgical services. This includes Pre-Surgical Screening, Prep/Recovery, Operating Room, Endoscopy, and PACU. The role involves caring for patients in Stage 2 recovery, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities. Start times may vary with prior notification within the ranges of 05:30-09:00. Key responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and providing post-operative care. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support the recovery process for diverse patient populations. Professional certification in Prep/Recovery and PSS-CAPA is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Preparation and education of patients regarding their recovery is a vital part of the role. Candidates should have experience with a range of clinical procedures and be comfortable with various medical technologies.
