TheraEX Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Palliative for a travel nursing job in Carmichael, California.

Job Description & Requirements

Minimum 2+ years recent RN experience in Palliative Care and/or Hospice (acute care required; ICU and/or Oncology experience preferred) / CERTIFICATIONS โ€“ BLS Required; ELNEC preferred / LICENSE โ€“ Active RN License Required / Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts (0730โ€“1600 or 0800โ€“1630), 40 hrs/week, 13 weeks (every other weekend + holiday rotation; first to float) / Setting: Acute Care โ€“ Inpatient Palliative Care / Hospice / EMR: Cerner / Skills: Palliative care coordination, goals of care discussions, advance directives & POLST completion, patient/family education, end-of-life support, interdisciplinary rounds, strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills / Volume: ~10โ€“15 consults/day (team); RN caseload includes 5โ€“6 new patients + 3โ€“4 follow-ups/day; ~55 patient census with 15โ€“17 new patients/day / Call: None / Floating: No unit floating (will travel across hospital units to see patients) / Support: Multidisciplinary team (2 physicians, 1 NP, 3 RNs, supplemental staff) / Scheduling: Facility scheduling; flexibility required / Orientation: 3โ€“4 days with Palliative Care RN Coordinator/Physicians (12+ hours total) / Additional: Coverage for LOA โ€“ ASAP start needed; 2 supervisor references required at submission (1 within 12 months, 1 within 3 years); No employment with CommonSpirit/Dignity/CHI in past 1 year (except PRN via agency); strong communication and compassion required; business casual dress code with white lab jacket; faith-based organization
