The Opportunity

As an SMB Account Executive, you will be responsible for closing new business. You will greet qualified opportunities promptly and aren't afraid to drum up new business when needed.  You never miss prospect follow-ups and are an exquisite presenter via phone/web. Your clients love trading ideas with you. You show up with the right attitude every day, find satisfaction in a hard day's work, and are eager to keep beating your own personal best.  Growing with a dynamite company doesn't sound too bad either.

This is a full-time, hybrid role in South Jordan, UT (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays in-office).

What You'll Do

  • Successfully close new business through demonstrations.
  • Master the Canopy software & portray your knowledge to prospective clients.
  • Proactively keep up to date with our industry & the technology landscape.
  • Achieve & exceed your monthly quotas.
  • Align our solutions with prospect's business objectives & needs.
  • Successfully manage & overcome objections.
  • Teach prospective clients to think in different, paradigm-shifting ways.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2+ years of B2B sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding quota
  • Experience prospecting and closing leads
  • Experience learning and selling into a niche vertical
  • Ability to demo products to clients
  • Experience working in a high-growth, startup environment
  • Team player with growth mindset and strong work ethic
  • Goal oriented
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Witty or funny, or not, but you connect with people quickly
  • Motivated to fast-forward your career
  • Experienced and organized working with a sales tech stack 
  • Ability to follow processes, but also make recommendations

Interviewing @ Canopy

Application processes can be a little stressful. Here are the stages of a typical interview process at Canopy:

  • Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it's a mutual fit! 
  • 20-minute phone call with the People Team
  • 45-60-minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager
  • 1-3 rounds of interviews, depending on the role
  • Final Interview

Interview processes can vary depending on the role. The People Team will give you a role-specific overview of the process during your first phone call.
