Canopy, Draper, UT
About Us
Canopy is a fast-growing SaaS company in Draper, Utah building simple, efficient software for accounting firms. We are looking to revolutionize the accounting space with modern, user-friendly software for a neglected industry.

The Opportunity
As a Sales Manager, you'll lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing sales team to hit and exceed their goals. You ensure your team engages qualified opportunities effectively, delivers compelling demos, and builds strong client relationships. You foster a results-driven culture, provide strategic guidance, and remove obstacles to help your team succeed. Growing with a dynamite company doesn't sound too bad either.
This is a full-time, hybrid role in South Jordan, UT (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays in-office).
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
  • This is not a sit-back-and-strategize role; we need a leader who is in the trenches with their team, actively coaching and closing deals alongside them.
  • Stay deeply connected to your team's pipeline, ensuring deals move forward efficiently and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver precise, data-backed forecasts by maintaining a strong pulse on deals, coaching reps on next steps, and ensuring pipeline health.
  • Drive new business by overseeing strategic sales efforts, including high-impact demos and consultative selling.
  • Master the Canopy software and work with the sales team to effectively communicate its value to prospective clients.
  • Develop and execute sales plans that align our solutions with clients' business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within your team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize sales processes and drive efficiency.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a strong track record of closing new business.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales management, successfully leading and developing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Experience selling into niche industries with a consultative approach.
  • Proven ability to demo products effectively and tailor messaging to client needs.
  • History of consistently exceeding quotas in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
  • Adaptability to evolving sales strategies and market conditions.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience leveraging sales tools and CRM systems.
  • Process-oriented but innovative-able to follow best practices while driving improvements.

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience in tax and accounting
  • Familiarity with sales tools like Salesforce, Zoom Info, Outreach, and Gong
