Description:
The Facility Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to buildings and common areas to ensure proper functioning of machinery, equipment, facilities and applicable systems, and to prevent breakdowns.
Responsibilities:
  • Work independently to complete general building maintenance, including maintaining flooring, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, locking and painting
  • Schedule preventative maintenance services, including HVAC, plumbing, alarming, roof, locking, landscaping, fire protection and lighting system
  • Monitor and evaluate building maintenance contract and service work
  • Work collaboratively with other departments on cost reduction projects
  • Participate in all safety related activities, including reinforcing and creating an environment that fosters and requires safe work practices
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
  • Support ISO 9001 activities
  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
  • Conduct other duties as required

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience in general facilities maintenance
  • Completion of a Building Maintenance Technology diploma/certificate, or comparable program preferred
  • HVAC Certification preferred
  • Able to work on 12 hour day or night shift
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and Benefits:
Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a 401(k) Retirement Plan, medical/dental/life/disability program, PTO and sick days. This is a full time position.
