Job description

Campus Security Officer

Campus Security Officer (NJ SORA Required)

Location: New Brunswick, NJ

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Available Any Day, Sunday through Monday

We are seeking professional and dependable Campus Security Officers to provide security services at a campus in New Brunswick, NJ. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Candidates with prior security experience in college, university, school, or other educational settings are strongly preferred.

Requirements
  • Active New Jersey SORA Guard Card License (required)
  • Previous security experience (required)
  • Experience in a college, university, school, or educational environment preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to write accurate reports and maintain detailed records
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors
Responsibilities
  • Monitor campus buildings, grounds, and access points
  • Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols
  • Assist with visitor management and access control procedures
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports
  • Provide a visible and professional security presence throughout the campus
  • Support a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors

Qualified candidates must possess an active NJ SORA license and prior security experience. Candidates with experience in educational or campus security environments are encouraged to apply.
