A facility security officer (FSO) works with a team to maintain a secure environment at the facilities of a government organization or private company. As an FSO, your responsibilities are to ensure that employees, visitors, and information are safe within the facility, as well as to investigate any suspicious events or behavior. Your job duties include logging entry records for employees, vendors, and visitors; monitoring closed circuit video recordings and live video security; and managing access to controlled or restricted areas. You also coordinate with upper management on the development of security protocols and review access requests for sensitive data.
