Job description

Back/Front Office Medical Assistant with Urology experience needed for busy Urology office located in Anaheim.  Small 2 physician friendly office open since 1987 with a committed staff. 
Responsibilities:
The duties of this position will include:
Front Office -
  • Answering phones, taking messages and scheduling appointments.
  • Checking in and checking out patients, review of faxes and covering back office as needed.
Back Office Coverage
  • Rooming patients, assisting during examination and procedures, preparing and cleaning treatment rooms and medical instruments.
  • Able to assist with Biopsies, Cystoscopies, Urodynamics and other procedures.
  • Collecting patient lab reports as needed, sending out labs and urine cultures.
  • multi tasking and assisting in other areas as needed.
Qualifications
  •  At least two years medical back office experience.
  •  Knowledge of insurance groups e.g. Medi-Cal, CalOptima, Medicare, HMO, and PPO.   
  •  Must be bilingual.
  •  EMR experience required
