Job Description
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an entry level position and is responsible for generating buying demand for our clients tech products and services from organizations throughout the United States. The Sales Development Representative is responsible for driving market share and qualifying leads that build pipeline for the sales organization. The SDR will also be responsible for running regional and national campaigns focused primarily on cold calling, developing and qualifying leads to the point of handoff to the sales force. A key requirement is to conduct business dealings with prospects/customers in a way that creates a superior prospect/customer experience that will set the stage for future product sales for our technology based client.
Responsibilities & Skills
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of the job. A staff member may be required to perform additional duties on a periodic or more frequent basis.
  • Prospect/qualify leads and set appointments for Account Executives on a daily basis
  • Proactive communication with prospects and clients via telephone and email
  • Strive to convert all qualified prospects, meeting needs analysis criteria, into booked appointments for senior sales
  • Research, identify, and prospect for new clients
  • Nurture longer term qualified prospects through regular follow up and contact
  • Promote the Company's reliability, service programs, advantages of products, and new product promotions to effectively meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Manipulate and manage large amounts of data via spreadsheets or other data management tools
  • Maintain accurate up-to-date sales pipeline and forecasts
  • Making 60-80 calls per day to build and manage lead development pipeline
  • Prospect into multiple organizations via cold-calling, networking, e-mail/e-marketing, and utilizing Internet information sources (LinkedIn, Google, etc.)
  • Articulate the value proposition of CallSource to decision-makers across multiple industries to assess buying interest. Promote CallSource solutions with various management levels and professionals across technical and business disciplines
  • Achieve or exceed goal for evaluations and first meetings on a monthly basis
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions
  • Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call
  • Develop superior customer service relationship with prospects
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the Company technology - and clearly articulate capabilities and advantages to prospective customers
  • Contribute to every component of the critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance and data entry, correspondence, and communications)
  • Provide weekly activity report to management
  • Proactively continue company product and competitive product and market knowledge via website, on-line webinars, and marketing information
  • Social Media Monitoring: Engaging with social media platforms, creating alerts on keywords, researching topics and sharing information with individuals responsible for producing the content and responses

    • Ability to understand and successfully promote technical offerings and solution sets
    • Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking, listening and cold-calling
    • Ability to converse with and influence decision makers
    • Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment
    • Solid understanding of social media tools and vehicles including Linked In, Twitter, Blogs and monitoring tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to sell concepts and complex products
    • Comfortable, persistent and gracious on the telephone
    • Demonstrated successful track record and experience providing consultative advice to clients demonstrating a "value added" product
    • Self-starter, quick learner and good listener
    • Highly organized and responsible
    • Able to maintain composure under high pressure
    • A team player
    • Possesses a positive attitude
    • Knowledge of marketing techniques and databases used in marketing a plus
    • Bachelor's Degree Required
    • Experience with Salesforce.com a plus
    • Success in establishing relationships over the phone
