Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for the growth of current client relationships and all new account sourcing. The Sales Manager will focus on building and strengthening client relationships and networks.ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies and executes multiple sales strategies to increase the hotel's client base and top line revenue across designated segments (BT, SMERF, F&B, Government).ย ย 
  • Qualifies each potential piece of business by pre-call planning, identifying hot buttons and overcoming obstacles.
  • Conducts proactive sales call activities in the market and consistently meets the weekly goal expectations that are set by sales leadership.
  • Responds to all potential leads and inquiries in a timely manner and customizes responses to each client's needs.
  • Conducts day-to-day social media activities, including posting, responding to comments/messages, and creating engaging content to attract and retain followers on multiple platforms.
  • Maintains current knowledge related to competition, trends, and market conditions and effectively applies strategies to increase business.
  • Prepares weekly reporting requirements in a timely manner.ย 
  • Creates and maintains positive and professional staff and client relationships.ย 
  • Presents the hotel in an appealing way to prospective clients by telling intriguing stories and describing available opportunities including on-site property tours and off-site client interactions.ย 
  • Documents all sales activities and booking in accordance with expected standards in related systems.ย 
  • Participates in local hospitality and community networking events.
  • Performs all group savvy tasks as needed.ย 
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
