HiFyve is hiring a Lab Manager in the Manufacturing industry!

Salary: $90K/yearly plus 10% yearly bonus

Shift: Day Shift

Location: On-site in Fond Du Lac, WI area

Position Overview:

HiFyve is partnering with a leading manufacturer focused on creating high-quality ingredients designed to optimize health and nutrition. The Lab Manager has the responsibility of overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all testing and results. This role ensures that all lab procedures meet regulatory and company standards, fosters continuous improvement, and leads a team of lab technicians to perform a wide range of tests.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by example with a positive attitude and innovative thinking to help drive culture change and contribute to business strategy

Recruit, coach, direct, and supervise QA technicians and sanitation personnel

Assist with SOP development, quality specifications, safety procedures, and job expectations

Manage and oversee Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) and sanitation programs

Oversee all lab functions including analytical testing on raw materials, packaging, in-process samples, and finished products

Ensure compliance with all quality specifications and testing standards

Conduct and document equipment calibrations and maintenance

Perform GMP walk-throughs and facility quality audits to identify improvements and best practices

Notify QA Manager and Plant Manager when products or ingredients fail to meet specifications

Maintain safe and organized storage locations for hazardous materials and lab supplies

Assist with customer and regulatory audits as backup SQF practitioner for the Fond Du Lac facility

Support the Quality Assurance Manager in improving quality systems

Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements

Promote and engage in food safety practices to prevent foodborne illness or injury

Serve as trained backup support during employee absences as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in life science, nutrition, or related field

5+ years of laboratory experience, preferably within dairy or food manufacturing

2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience

Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Previous experience supervising teams in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
