Black River Health has an immediate opening for a Sleep Lab Technician. The Sleep Lab Technician works under the direction of the Respiratory Care Manager to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and comprehensive direct patient education.

The position available is:

  • Per Diem, 24 hours per pay period, Night shift (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - flexible), Non-Benefited

Essential Duties Include:

  • Collects, analyzes, and integrates patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical and social history.
  • Determines the final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering provider and laboratory protocols.
  • Applies electrode/sensors and performs appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and make adjustments, if necessary.
  • Recognizes and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Educational Qualifications:

· High School graduate or equivalent

· Current certification in RPSGT or CPSGT

· 2 years of sleep lab experience preferred

· Scoring sleep studies in an AASM accredited lab is preferred

· Current BLS certification

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Basic computer knowledge
