Job description

Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and technical training in polysomnographic techniques required
  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification required, is eligible to set for board exam and does so within 6 months of hire, or is enrolled in or has completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules. Modules must be completed and then sit for board exam within 1 year of employment. Requires clinical proficiency gained as a result of on-the-job training / experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to be trained immediately after hire required.

Work Hours
We are seeking a casual (fill in as needed) Sleep Technologist to work nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am.
Job Summary
Performs, monitors, and scores overnight polysomnograms. Functions independently to safely operate sophisticated medical equipment to record sleep/wake physiology. Applies recording devices to patients, cleans/sterilizes equipment and monitors and scores polysomnograms. Recognizes sleep pathology when it occurs in the laboratory and responds with the appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
