Job description
The CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) is a USDA federal program that pays for healthy meals and snacks at homes that serve children up to age 13 and adults that receive in home care or are functionally impaired. The CACFP follows the government guidelines for healthy eating. Benefits of healthy eating are:
This will be a work from home position with expected daily travel throughout the region and more specifically to Portales, Fort Sumner, Santa Rosa and Tucumcari.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a government food program and/or working with home care providers.
HOW WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
You will be conducting home visits to ensure that providers are feeding the children based on the USDA food regulations.
You will be responsible for recruiting home childcare providers in establishing a monthly claim to assist the provider in reimbursement for their food program.
You will be responsible for ensuring that home providers meet United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- High School Diploma or GED and two (2) progressive years of experience in general office procedures and customer service.
- Social services and accounting background experience is a plus.
- Bilingual a plus but not required.

- Must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable.
- Certifications may be required as position mandates.
