Job description

Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Cabinet Sales supports all aspects of the cabinet program, enabling Habitat to sell new cabinets at an affordable cost. This position provides hands-on experience in cabinet sales, customer service, and management, and is intentionally designed for future advancement. The Assistant Manager of Cabinet Sales plays a key role in ensuring that time and resources are dedicated to customers who are ready to move forward. They guide customers through the intake, design, and ordering processes, and close sales through a consultative approach. This role also supports administrative functions, maintains high standards of customer service, and assists with tracking and reporting cabinet sales activity. This position requires flexibility, strong communication and selling skills, and a willingness and ability to conduct accurate home and on-site measurements for residential and business customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Cabinet Manager to manage daily operations of the cabinet program through all steps of the process, working with each customer directly and responding to any cabinet inquiries.
  • Utilize design software for project layouts.
  • Engage in daily customer service to discuss the features/benefits of our program and work with the Cabinet Manager to address any concerns.
  • Maintain reporting and tracking of the customer relations management system (CRM) and communicate updates to management.
  • Develop knowledge of cabinet product lines and the ability to communicate the products to customers and answer any questions.
  • Schedule appointments with cabinet customers to walk through layout and design options and show samples of available cabinet products.
  • Develop accurate quotes for customers with correct pricing and shipping information, and work with the Cabinet Manager to analyze cabinet sales and profitability.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Dedicated to working in and promoting a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage tasks and projects and produce high-quality results quickly and on time.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Available to work weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift items up to 30 pounds.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience working in design or with design software
  • Some basic construction experience and the ability to accurately measure
  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None; There are no direct reports for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates primarily in a retail/warehouse environment and can require operating equipment such as power tools, hand tools, ladders, price guns, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Occasional use of personal vehicles to attend off-site meetings and on-site measurements required.
