Job description

Location: Pala, CA
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the pool area and cabanas. Including, providing 4 Star/ 4 Diamond service, set-up, retail sales and general cleaning.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Able to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • High school education or GED.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide towel distribution and assist with collection of soiled towels.
  • Responsible for pool set up and breakdown. IE: Chair placement, general Cleaning, retail Displays, etc.
  • Ability to describe the cabanas in detail and all of the amenities.
  • Accepting and monitoring of cabana reservations.
  • Provide the highest degree of service to all cabana guests.
  • The guest will always be asked for preference regarding cabana location.
  • Advise guests of cabana cancellation policy and fees.
  • Knowledge of Spa & Salon Services offered, assist guests with appointments.
  • Clock in/out at appropriate times- being at work area ready to work at assigned time.
  • Know and practice the guest service philosophy of Pala Casino Spa Golf and Resort.
  • Offer a genuine greeting and thank guests appropriately.
  • Speak to guests in an attentive, natural and courteous manner, avoiding pretension.
  • Create a sense of recognition by using the guest's last name, when known, in a natural and discreet manner.
  • Ensure all Platinum all privilege card holders feel welcome.
  • Provide highly efficient Pool side service.
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction.
  • Always appear clean, crisp, polished and well fitted.
  • Handle questions, problems, and complaints.
  • Complete the AM and PM checklists.
  • Review memos and log book.
  • Receive information passed on from previous shift.
  • Assist team leaders and managers with miscellaneous duties.
  • Coordinate with Guest Safety the research for lost and found items for guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
