Job description

Job Description:

Wastequip, the premier waste handling and disposal equipment manufacturer in North America, is seeking an experienced Analyst of FP&A to join our growing corporate finance team. The FP&A Analyst will be a key position working alongside management and providing financial insights to drive commercial and operational performance. This position will report in directly to the Manager of Finance for Wastequip's Container Division, the largest division in Wastequip.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive accurate, consistent financial reporting.

2. Support the month-end processes by reviewing actual results versus plan, preparing monthly variance reports for business owners, and analyzing key performance drivers

3. Assist in the development of monthly management presentations and supporting schedules, including business reviews, strategic plans, and other leadership presentations and annual plans as needed.

4. Provide actionable insight to Department heads on profitability and performance vs budget; provide operational suggestions to increase profit.

5. Partner closely with field service centers and operations managers to provide financial guidance to business leadership.

6. Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities.

7. Drive the monthly forecasting process to provide insights into areas of risk and opportunity and influence business strategies.

8. Support the FP&A Manager and business partners with various requests and analysis.

9. Collaborate with executive management in creation of annual operating and overhead budgets in partnership with Operations and Finance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related business field

5-10 years progressive experience in FP& A roles

Financial analysis techniques, budgeting/forecasting processes

Strong ability to analyze and interpret operational metrics and investment models

Strong PC skills including CRM, BI, ERP and an advanced knowledge of Excel

Analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with all levels of an organization
