Overview:

Location: UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is home to a dynamic and close-knit Heart and Vascular team, with two Cath Labs, Cardiac Rehab, and Cardio diagnostics where clinical excellence meets cutting-edge technology. We specialize in interventional cardiac catheterizations, peripheral procedures, and electrophysiology device implantations, providing an exceptional opportunity for Registered Nurses (RNs) to elevate their skills while making a direct impact on patient outcomes. Responsibilities:

The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant. This is a PRN Day Shift position. 

Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
    • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
      • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
      • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
    • If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
                  • -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR
                  • -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR
                  • -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR
                  • -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
                  • -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
    • BLS required
    • ACLS required
