Job description

Sr. Data Analyst needs 5-7+ years hands-on experience working with SQL and a strong understanding of different data structures (flat files and DBMS)

Sr. Data Analyst requires:

  • 7+ years experience working as a BI analyst or data analyst leveraging BI tools in a centralized data warehouse environment
  • 3+ years experience with data modeling concepts and techniques
  • Experience working with Cognos v.8.x or higher or similar BI tool is a plus
  • Experience working with Teradata Data Warehouse or other DBMS is a plus
  • Heavy SQL
  • Source to Target Mapping
  • Requirements gathering, data modeling
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent plus 7 years of related professional experience
  • Proven experience on projects involving data integration, data warehousing, data cleansing, data mapping, and data conversion activities
  • Well versed in data management concepts, data lifecycle and methodologies
  • Certification in Data Management (CDMP) or Business Intelligence (CBIP) is a plus

Sr. Data Analyst duties:

  • Validates that data integration, data movement, and warehouse meets requirements and service-level agreements
  • Works with architects to translate requirements into technical specifications
  • Act as the conduit between the customer and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood
  • Act in an advisory capacity in data model reviews, architecture approach and solution design to ensure high quality deliverables
