BWI Group is a premier chassis supplier that designs and manufactures brake and suspension systems for the automotive market. We are a fast-paced, global organization employing some of the best and brightest minds in the industry.
We are currently hiring for a Pursuit Leader – EPB amp; Foundation Brakes. If you meet these requirements and believe you have a passion for making a real difference in an industry, we would like to hear from you.
Location: Brighton, MI
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead major Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) and foundation brake business pursuits in North America.
  • Drive the entire pursuit cycle: opportunity identification, technical alignment, customer engagement, proposal development, and negotiation.
  • Act as the technical and commercial interface with OEM customers, ensuring BWI solutions meet performance, cost, and timing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key NA OEMs and Tier-1 partners to position BWI as a preferred brake system supplier.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, product management, and sales teams to define pursuit strategies and execute go-to-market plans.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to refine business pursuit strategies.
  • Ensure seamless handover from pursuit to program execution, supporting launch success.
Required Skills amp; Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Strong technical background in foundation brakes and EPB systems — including design, performance, validation, and vehicle integration.
  • Proven track record of leading successful business pursuits in the automotive sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with the ability to balance technical trade-offs with business objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; ability to influence at all levels internally and externally.
Preferred Skills amp; Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or MBA.
  • 5+ years of experience in braking systems engineering, program management, or business development.
  • Established network and customer relationships with major North American OEMs.
  • Familiarity with automotive sourcing processes, RFQ/RFI management, and cost modeling.
  • Experience working in a global organization with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
