We're seeking a dynamic full-time Purchasing Agent - Materials Buyer in Menomonee Falls, WI who is ready to take on an exciting challenge and help shape our procurement strategies. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $35,000 to $60,000 per year, along with a robust benefits package that includes generous PTO & paid holidays, comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(K) plans, and options for voluntary long- and short-term disability and life insurance, along with employer-paid life insurance policies.


WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE

As a Purchasing Agent - Materials Buyer, you immerse yourself in sourcing and procurement, starting each day by assessing inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock. You reach out to potential suppliers, skillfully negotiating contracts and pricing that align with company policies. Creating purchase orders becomes second nature as you diligently follow up to ensure timely deliveries. Collaboration is key, as you work closely with internal teams to understand their purchasing needs while analyzing costs to identify savings. Maintaining a robust vendor database, you foster strong relationships that ensure quality and reliability in materials. WHAT'S NEEDED FROM A PURCHASING AGENT - MATERIALS BUYER?

We're looking for someone who can work from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday while meeting the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 2+ years in a procurement or buying role, with Telecom experience being a plus
  • Proficiency in database, order processing, and MS 365 software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

We also need someone with the following qualities and traits:

  • Highly organized with exceptional time management skills
  • Strong negotiation, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
