As an Associate, you will work closely with senior team members to support rigorous, well-supported analyses for engagements that may ultimately be used in mediation, arbitration, or trial settings. What You'll Do

  • Support analyses related to merger and acquisition transactions, purchase price allocations, and stock option valuations - including valuations of carried interest, deferred compensation, and other complex financial instruments in the context of marital dissolution
  • Assist in the valuation of closely held businesses, partnerships, and professional practices, including analysis of personal versus enterprise goodwill
  • Conduct income analysis, financial tracing, and separate versus marital/community property tracing assignments in litigation contexts
  • Support forensic accounting work, including analysis of cash flow and lifestyle, identification of unreported income or hidden assets, and investigation of asset dissipation or fraudulent transfers
  • Assist in preparing clear, comprehensive written valuation reports and expert analyses for client presentations, settlement proceedings, and potential legal proceedings including depositions and trial
  • Participate in client interactions, including due diligence meetings, mediation, arbitration, and collaborative divorce processes
  • Perform company, industry, and economic research to support valuation conclusions
  • Collaborate with team members to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What You Bring

  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of financial theory, economics, and accounting principles
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with experience in valuation methodologies preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and accountability for results
  • Professional presence and ability to build relationships with clients, counsel, and internal teams
  • Experience in litigation support involving financial disputes (e.g., business valuation, forensic accounting, economic damages, fraud analysis, family law) is preferred but not required
  • Professional certifications such as ABV, CVA, CPA, CFA, or CFE are preferred but not required

How You'll Thrive
  • Bring a positive, team-oriented mindset and contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, family law attorneys, and leadership
  • Approach problem-solving with creativity and intellectual curiosity
  • Take ownership of your work and deliver high-quality results with precision and care
