THE ROLE
The enterprise data business systems analyst helps develop enterprise data technology solutions that address the business needs of the MFS organization. They independently meet with project stakeholders and business partners at all levels of the organization to elicit and gather business requirements. They develop and maintain formal specifications that clearly outline the key requirements. The Business Systems Analyst collaborates with internal IT resources and external vendors to develop, test, deploy and support technology solutions. The Business Systems Analyst follows the MFS system-development life cycle while working to release projects and support items for the benefit of our clients and internal business partners.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • The business systems analyst supports the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and enterprise data projects by working in conjunction with other internal groups to design, develop and support technology solutions.
  • Performs analysis of business data needs to determine business requirements, data governance implications, and data quality requirements. Works with business users to understand and define needs above and beyond requirements provided by the business. Converts business requirements into functional specifications. Works closely with the business users, developers, QA, data modelers and other technology professionals to ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technology organization to ensure proper implementation of requirements within the expected timetable. Communicates any material modifications of business requirements to business stakeholders.
  • Participate in architectural discussions with development teams.
  • Follow the MFS Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that all steps of the process have been followed prior to releasing any code.
  • Collaborate with the QA team in developing high-level test plans. Reviews test cases developed by the QA team.
  • Provides timely application/production support and work with business partners and other IT departments to resolve questions, fix issues, assess user needs, and recommend solutions.
  • Help in building and maintaining data checks for trustworthy data.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business or technology related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting enterprise data applications or similar data warehousing experience.
  • Must have experience with SSRS as a Reporting/BI Tools
  • Proven ability to efficiently utilize resources and communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to make independent decisions.
  • A firm understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile framework.
  • Proven ability to develop data solutions to meet business needs.
  • Strong SQL knowledge on Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

Base Salary Range: $62,500.00 - $90,000.00This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.

This range reflects our good-faith expectation for what we'll pay depending on the candidate's experience, training and education.
